Fun in the sun – doing ‘The Great Run’

1 February 2013

Student on UFAW Great RunWe would like to extend a big thank you to University of Stirling students Laura Hall and Neil Campbell who both volunteered to take part in the Edinburgh 10km Great Run in July and raise funds on behalf of UFAW.

Unfortunately Neil cut his foot a few days before the Run and was unable to take part but Laura successfully completed the 10km, which took place in sweltering conditions and included Edinburgh landmarks Holyrood Park, the Royal Mile, Canongate and Regent Road. Between them, and despite Neils’ injury, they raised over £570. Thank you to everyone who sponsored them and well done both. We hope to offer more such opportunities in the future and look forward to hearing from anyone willing to raise funds for UFAW in this way.
