Covid-19 statement from our CEO Huw Golledge

In these extraordinary times UFAW will be trying our best to continue supporting Science in the Service of Animal Welfare. Whilst many of our staff are working from home we do not expect to have any significant problems in carrying on our support for animal welfare science.

We have cancelled all our face-to face meetings but if you need to speak to us we will be more than happy to arrange a virtual meeting.

We understand that some of our grant recipients will experience problems carrying out the research and other activities which we support, and we are keen to help you overcome these issues. If your work is impacted by Covid-19 please feel free to contact us to discuss how we can help. We can offer no-cost extensions to grants in many cases and will consider any other adjustments which may help UFAW-supported activities to continue.

We will continue to process grant applications as usual and our journal Animal Welfare is dealing with paper submissions in the normal way.

Our programme of scientific meetings is likely to be impacted as will our attendance at other meetings, we will update you as soon as any decisions are made. You can also follow our updates on twitter: @UFAW_1926.

We wish all of you the very best at this difficult time. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. You can contact us on 01582 831 818 or at ufaw@ufaw.org.uk

Best wishes,

Huw
