UFAW assists with developing standards for laboratory animal care in China

15 May 2016

For some years, UFAW has been jointly organising seminars with the Home Office, Chinese Association of Laboratory Animal Science CALAS, and AAALAC International to assist in the development of Chinese regulation in this area. The latest attracted over 450 Chinese delegates.

Said UFAW’s Chief Executive Dr Robert Hubrecht: “UFAW welcomes the opportunity to work collaboratively to assist with the development of Chinese regulation to develop high standards of laboratory animal care.  When adopted and implemented, these should result in a significant improvement in the housing and husbandry standards of animals bred and used for scientific purposes in China.”
