The Universities Federation for Animal Welfare (www.ufaw.org.uk) and the Humane Slaughter Association (www.hsa.org.uk), highly respected charities that promote advances in animal welfare through science and education internationally, are looking for an exceptional individual to succeed Dr James Kirkwood who retires in March 2014.
The successful applicant will lead small, dynamic teams based in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire. He/she will have a background in veterinary or biological research, a record of positive contribution to animal science, a proven ability to communicate with scientific and lay communities and, ideally, editorial experience.
